Skid Foundation
All Prairie Steel bins come with the option of circular skid foundations. Circular skids are stronger, more stable and allows the bins to be easily moved. Skids can be welded on in the factory or bolted on at the job site. Number of rings used in skid construction is based on bin tonnage. Skids can be mounted on hopper bins from 300 bushels to 10,700 bushels.
Venting
2 – 22” round vents come standard on 21’ and 24’ diameter grain bins. Vents are optional on smaller sizes and are recommended if drying system are used in the bin.
All 21’ and 24’ bins in 2024 will come standard with one regular 22” vent and one new hinged top vent.
This hinged vent will work as an inspection hatch and a place to take samples. These can also be ordered an installed on all other sizes as well.
24” Inspection hatches can be ordered and installed on any Goebel grain bin.
Aeration
Aeration is an option in all sizes of Goebel hopper cones. Aeration comes in 2 sizes, 18” diameter and 24” diameter.
Safety Cages
Optional safety cages and roof hand rails can be added to any bin of any size.
Safety cages and roof ladder hand rails can be an added option on any Goebel bin.
Rack and Pinions Gates
Rack and pinion can be installed on any size of new Goebel grain bin as well as existing Prairie Steel hopper cones.
